High-achieving students honored


Dr. Walter Hill, Tuskegee University Provost. 
TUSKEGEE, Ala. (February 27, 2014) – The university honored more than 200 students from the Class of 2017 for their academic successes. Held by the Office of the Provost, the Recognition of Students’ Outstanding Fall 2013 Achievement program awarded certificates to 263 students earning 3.25 and above GPAs. Thirty-seven students earned 4.0 GPAs. 

This year, transfer students and dual enrollment high school students were also recognized. The speaker was Loretta Burns, head of the English Department. There were also remarks from special guest Dr. Chavonda Jacobs-Young, administrator for the United States Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service.
