The Ph.D. candidates who have complete their qualifying exams receive white lab coats. The students are: Daniel Aubgri, Sheritta M. Crooks, Amged Dafalla, Tiffany Hebb, and Aiman Shalgum.

Also, Dr. Cedric Lane, who has successfully completed his IBS doctorate, was recognized. Lane is the 12th graduate of the program.

Dr. Brian L. Johnson, Tuskegee University president, gave welcome remarks and said it was “humbling and awe-inspiring” to be at the ceremony that “transitions our students from being in the classroom to actually producing knowledge.”

“This ceremony is indicative of what we have long-known about Tuskegee and what we hope to be in the future of Tuskegee University, not only in the sciences but in all of our disciplines,” Johnson said.
