Tuskegee, Ala. (April 11, 2014) – A new royal court took its reign Thursday during a night of pageantry and style at Gen. Daniel “Chappie” James Arena. The Miss Tuskegee University 2014-2015 Pageant introduced the community to the three young ladies who will help lead Tuskegee into a new era of elegance.

Tequiles Celestin, a junior social work major from Los Angeles, was crowned Miss Tuskegee University 2014-2015. April Nicole Baldwin, a senior history major from Birmingham, Ala., will serve as First Attendant. Sheniqua Bianca Jones, a junior biology major from Brooklyn, N.Y., was chosen as Second Attendant.

Celestin ran her campaign on a platform entitled, “Capture the Moment: Appreciating the Past, Celebrating the Present, and Preparing for the Future.” For the talent portion of the competition, she performed a lyrical dance to Otis Redding’s “Try a Little Tenderness.”
