Show your school spirit and “paint” Tuskegee crimson and gold


TUSKEGEE, Ala. (August 22, 2012) – To kick off the start of football season, Tuskegee University is celebrating national College Colors Day. On Friday, Aug. 31, the entire university and community can show their support by wearing officially licensed Tuskegee University apparel.

The most colorful and creative Tuskegee fans can submit their photos to the Tuskegee University Facebook inbox and enter the Paint the Campus contest. The most interesting and popular photos will win a special Tuskegee prize pack with university memorabilia and a gift certificate. The contest ends Sept. 14.

On Sept. 1, the Golden Tigers play their first game this season against the Alabama A&M University Bulldogs at Legion Field in Birmingham, Ala. at 7 p.m. Tuskegee football coach Willie Slater said the sight of the Tuskegee fans at games is a visual treat.

“To see them all dressed in crimson and gold is really exciting,” Slater said of the Tuskegee fans.
