Spring Open House draws over 1,000
TUSKEGEE, Ala. (March 28, 2011) — According to the Office of Admissions and Enrollment Management, 1,500 prospective students and their families attended the annual Spring Open House on March 26. Attendees were addressed by Tuskegee University President Gilbert L. Rochon; interacted with college deans, student affairs staff, and students; and were treated to a sneak peak of student activities such as the choir, Greek organizations, cheerleaders, band and ROTC units.
"We are proud that so many students take advantage of the showcase of excellence that Tuskegee displays during Open House and we know that students will benefit greatly from this first-hand experience," said Courtney Griffin, associate director of the Office of Admissions and Enrollment Management and coordinator of the Spring Open House. "It's one thing to read about the ‘Tuskegee Experience,’ but an entirely different occurrence to see it for yourself."
Students had the opportunity to ask key campus administrators questions about housing, scholarships, job placement, cooperative education opportunities, and other campus information.
Fall Open House will be held Oct. 29. For more information, contact the admissions office at 1-800-622-6531.
