TUSKEGEE, Ala. (May 5, 2014) – Tuskegee University students Antonio Minifield and Jamiee Drakewood hosted their own fashion show to support scholarship funding for future Tuskegee students. The show was held April 25 in Logan Hall and was entitled, “Global Eruption: The Rave of Mother Nature”. The show displayed the style and culture of the world’s seven continents: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Antarctica and Australia. The show also included musical performances, African and ballet dance teams, and advanced LED lighting and displays.
During the show, a $500 scholarship was given to Billy Grubbs, a senior at Enterprise High School in Enterprise, Ala. Grubbs will be attending Tuskegee in the fall. Drakewood, who has a son, gave away a basket of diapers, clothing and other gifts to a Tuskegee student who is also a mother.
