Tuskegee Aerospace Science Engineering Students Visit Lockheed-Martin


Students of Tuskegee University's Aerospace Science Engineerng Department visited the Lockheed-Martin Facility in Marrietta, Ga., Jan. 21, 2005. The visit was organized by the Tuskegee University Student Chapter of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. They were accompanied by Dr. M. Javed Khan, associate professor, the faculty advisor. The group was welcomed by Lee Ryant, executive vice president and general manager of the facility. After a briefing on Lockheed-Martin, the group was given a tour of the facility, which has the largest hangar in the world for manufacturing airplanes. The group saw the assembly lines for the C-130J and F/A 22 aircraft.
