About the Department of Athletics

TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY varsity athletic teams compete in the 13-team Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). The conference includes Tuskegee, Albany State, Benedict, Claflin, Clark Atlanta, Fort Valley State, Kentucky State, Lane, LeMoyne-Owen, Miles, Morehouse, Paine and Stillman.

TU student wins 2009 NCAA Division II statistical championship for softball
Tuskegee University softball player, Tameria Brown, was recently named the 2009 NCAA Division II statistical champion for Runs Batted In Per Game. Brown, shortstop, was a freshman, majoring in Accounting during the 2009 softball season. She is a native of Eclectic, Ala. "We are very pleased to see Tameria recognized," Tuskegee University head softball coach, Tarsha Askew said. "She worked hard to earn this achievement and it is well deserved."
