About the Department of Athletics
TUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY varsity athletic teams compete in the 13-team Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). The conference includes Tuskegee, Albany State, Benedict, Claflin, Clark Atlanta, Fort Valley State, Kentucky State, Lane, LeMoyne-Owen, Miles, Morehouse, Paine and Stillman.

Due to facility issues, the basketball games (men and women) between Tuskegee University and Lane College, originally scheduled for Thur., Jan. 28, 2010 at Lane College in Jackson, Tenn., will be played on Thursday at the James Center Arena in Tuskegee, Ala.

Hannah named to SBN All-America team; Slater and Hannah to receive awards
Tuskegee's all-conference defensive back and SIAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year, Justin Hannah, was recently selected as a member of the 2009 Sheridan Broadcasting Network Black College All-America team. The 5-foot-10 senior defensive back will be honored along with other players, Feb. 12-13, at the 35th Annual SBN Sports Black College All-American Awards at the Doubletree Resort in Orlando, Fla.

Golden Tigers outlast inspired Stillman effort
Freshman Calvin Thomas scored 19 points and pulled down six rebounds on Monday night to help the Tuskegee Golden Tigers defeat the visiting Tigers of Stillman College, 84-82.
