The library is adequate for students and faculty. The Library continues to increase it holdings and to upgrade available services.

Curriculum
Courses taught or coordinated by the Department of Clinical Sciences are designated for professional students. Both "core" and "elective" courses are offered.

Organization
The Department is one of three academic units in the School of Veterinary Medicine, a component of the College of Veterinary Medicine, Nursing and Allied Health.

Research
Research activities in the department involve both basic and applied research. Faculty also act as consultants to other investigators in the School and College.

Facilities
With the merger of the small and large animal departments into the Department of Clinical Sciences (DCS), the department has for its use twenty-two offices, one conference room, four classrooms (two in the Clinical Anatomy Building and two in the Large Animal Care Center) and one surgery laboratory.

Clinical Resources
Clinical accessions for the Small Animal, Large Animal and Ambulatory Clinics are being made to increase students’ exposure to swine and lectures are being presented by visiting instructors with expertise in dairy cattle.

Continuing Education
Departmental faculty participate both in the planning and implementation of all continuing education activities for the department. They are also involved in the annual veterinary medical symposium (both vet laboratories and seminars) for veterinarians.
