RBEDP Success Story 5: Institutionalization of Entrepreneurship Training

NEED:

Macon County has in the recent years embarked on a campaign to develop more businesses in the area. There was need to recruit potential entrepreneurs who are willing to develop and expand business opportunities in Macon county.

HOW RBEDP HELPED:

RBEDP offered technical assistance on how to start and operate a business. The entrepreneurial Training Workshop provided by the RBEDP at the Community Development Center in Tuskegee, Alabama, had over 20 participants attended the business training workshop for 14 weeks.

RESULTS:

After 14 weeks, all the 11 participants obtained a graduation certificates to apply for the Revolving Loan to start their businesses in the Macon County area. By the end of the training, all the graduated participants had business plans ready on hand to start a business. So far, five participants have applied for the revolving loan awaiting response.
