HDIRE ADVISORY BOARD
Overview
The Health Disparities Advisory Board is comprised of members of the faculty and staff of Tuskegee University. These individuals shall serve on the board as representatives from various departments/offices within the university, (as deemed appropriate by the founding director and the chair of the board), and will not exceed a maximum limit of ten members, excluding the founder.
Each board member is expected to support the mission and needs of the Health Disparities Institute for Research and Education by providing advice, governance, policy oversight, and assistance with its general promotion.
Major Responsibilities:

Organizational leadership and advisement

Organization of the advisory board, officers, and committees

Formulation and oversight of policies and procedures

Oversight of program planning and evaluation

Review of organizational and programmatic reports

Promotion of the organization

Fundraising and outreach
Length of Term: Membership on the Board will be staggered so that members serve a two-year term, which may be renewed for one additional term, pending approval of the board.
