Position:                    Research Assistant Professor

Location:                    Biology                                               Full-time

Essential Duties

  • Utilize molecular techniques such as western blotting and real time PCR to determine protein involved  in the molecular mechanisms associated with Prostate Cancer Progression
  • Perform liver perfusion to isolate primary hepatocytes
  • Design primers for PCR
  • Develop knock in/out expression vectors for in vitro and in vivo utilization
  • Assist in training undergraduate and graduate students
  • Perform routine experimental techniques in molecular biology
  • Perform other molecular assays including cloning, sequencing, and electrophoresis
  • Purchase all laboratory supplies as needed to run the experiments
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor


  • Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
  • knowledge of Molecular techniques in Life Sciences is required


Commensurate with training, experience, and University Compensation Plan
