Student Eligibility

Students who meet the following criteria may be eligible for financial aid:

• A United States citizen, national or a permanent resident of the United States
• Admitted to an approved degree-granting program
• Making satisfactory academic progress and in good social standing as defined by the University
• Enrolled at least half-time (six semester hours for an undergraduate or six semester hours for a graduate) in an approved degree-granting program
• Proof of compliance with Selective Service Registration requirements
• Not in default on Federal Perkins Loan (formerly National Direct Student Loan) or Federal Stafford Student Loan (formerly Guaranteed Student Loan) or Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans
• Does not owe a refund on a Federal Pell Gant or Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant received while attending Tuskegee
• Financial need is demonstrated by application information. (Need is not an eligibility criteria for Fed Unsubsidized Loans)
• Possess a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate

Applicants for financial aid must have been accepted to Tuskegee University before an award can be made.
 
NOTE: Conviction of drug distribution or possession may make a student ineligible for financial aid.
