Tuskegee is a certified institution by NSA to offer 4011certification. This certificate is granted to individual who completes a specified set of courses in Information System Security.

NSTISSI-4011, National Training Standard for Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professionals

Provides the minimum course content for the training of information systems security (INFOSEC) professionals in the disciplines of telecommunications security and automated information systems (AIS) security. The benefit of this certificate makes the person professional in this area which helps in getting jobs and winning contracts in the information assurance area.

Tuskegee is a certified institution by NSA to offer 4012 certification. This certificate is granted to individual who completes a specified set of courses in the area of information assurance as a senior system manager.

CNSSI-4012,    National Information Assurance Training Standard for Senior Systems Managers (SSM)

Establishes the minimum course content or standard for the development and implementation of training for Designated Approving Authorities in the disciplines of telecommunications security and information systems (IS) security. The benefit of this certificate makes the person professional in this area which helps in getting jobs and winning contracts in the information assurance area.

The Department of Computer Science received the NSTISSI-4011 and CNSSI-4012 certifications in 2008 and 2009, respectively. The Department is currently applying for the approval as a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance. Students who complete the following courses may be qualified for NSTISSI-4011 and/or CNSSI-4012 certificates.
