2004 - Dr. Tracey Lewis

Dr. Tracy L. Lewis recently received her PhD from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University in the area of Computer Science. Her dissertation entitled “Design Readiness – An Exploratory Model of Object Oriented Design Performance” is the first attempt to capture the concept of object_oriented design readiness in a psychometric evaluation instrument, as well as identify predictive experiences of successful object_oriented design students.  Dr. Lewis also holds a B.S. in computer science from Tuskegee University, a Master of Science degree in Computer Science with emphasis in Software Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science with emphasis in Human Computer Interaction from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. Dr. Lewis also spent time studying e_commerce and networking in the European Union at the University of Freiburg – Germany.Aside from educational endeavors, Dr. Lewis has over 7 years of industry experience in software design, development, and software production research. She has served as an MTS (member of technical staff) in the Operator Service Position Systems department at Lucent Technologies and principal research investigator in the Software Production Research department at Bell Laboratories. As a principal research investigator Dr. Lewis, investigated such things as the organization aspects of code entropy and the diffusion and application of telecommunications software design patterns.Dr. Tracy Lewis currently serves as an assistant_professor in the Department of Information Science and Technology at Radford University.
