- Possess academic achievements, reputation and creative abilities deserving recognition, and whose membership would enhance the stature of the Society
- An undergraduate student that is a candidate for an undergraduate degree in the Computer Science Program of the College of Business & Information Sciences, a candidate of the General or Information System program
- Completed CS210 & CS220 as outlined in the Computer Science curricula and have completed at least sixty (60) semester hours for undergraduate credit
- Have completed all university academic requirements as stated by the Provost of the university. Further, he or she must have a grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) in the Computer Science Program of the College of Business & Information Sciences, and must have a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) university cumulative grade point average
If you meet the above qualifications, that doesn't mean you will automatically be accepted into our honor society. You must share the interests of the Grand Chapter and the Zeta Chapter of AL. You must stand out, not only academically, but in the advancement of the computing field in your community. And most importantly, UPE is a member organization, therefore the members must vote you in!
