Dr. Curry and his research group have been invited to participate in Phase II of the University of Wisconsin – Madison Center for Sustainable Nontechnology (CSN).  CSN is a Phase I Center for Chemical Innovation from NSF, which started in September, 2012. The center focus is on developing a molecular-level understanding of how nanoparticles interact with biological and biomimetic systems.  Backed by a 1.75 million dollar grant from the National Science Foundation’s Division of Chemistry, Phase I of the center is currently composed of the following partnerships: UW-Madison, the University of Illinois, the University of Minnesota, Northwestern University and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.  Phase II of the center will feature nanoparticles fabrication technology developed in the Curry research group.
