NURSING ADMISSION TESTING REQUIREMENTS  (Professional Phase)

 

Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS):

As a part of the admission criteria for the professional phase the Department of Nursing requires a score of 80% on the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS).  The TEAS measures basic essential skills in the academic content area of reading, mathematics, science, and English and language usage.  The objectives assessed on the TEAS examination are those which nurse educators deemed most appropriate and relevant to measure entry level skills and abilities of nursing program applicant.

The test is administered on the campus of Tuskegee University. Registration for the TEAS is completed on-line at the Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI). Dates for test administration at Tuskegee University are posted on ATI web site at: www.atitesting.com.  The testing dates, building, and room locations are posted early Fall Semester of each academic year.   The fees are subject to change.  Current fees are posted on the ATI web site.
