Housing Office Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the housing office is to provide on campus housing for all students residing in the Residence Halls, Commons and Marable Apartments. Students must be accepted to the University and be enrolled full time for an academic year or semester.
It is the responsibility of the housing office to receive and assign all students who have applied for on campus housing. Freshmen, Sophomores and first year transfer students (students having less than 60 hrs. cumulative) are required to live on campus and to participate in the central dining hall meal program.
The housing department is responsible for assigning over 2300 students to our residence halls and apartments. We also share the responsibility with Physical Plant Services in receiving and tracking all maintenance concerns for our students who resides in the apartments. Every effort is made to comply with the applicants request. However, since some halls/apartments fill more rapidly than others, the housing office will make assignments as space is available.
