Department of Residence Life and Development

The Department of Residence Life and Development is responsible for the administration and general management of all campus based student residential facilities and programs.

Residence halls are open for occupancy during the regular academic year, except when temporarily closed for Christmas break. Only selected halls are open during the summer session based on enrollment housing demand. The opening and closing dates for residence halls are published on the University calendar. Students arriving before the official residential hall opening dates are responsible for making their own living arrangements.

Residence Hall Programming

Life in our residence halls is exciting and stimulating! We present programs that are geared toward the following categories: scholarship, community building, healthy living and socialization. Our department provides a variety of co-curricular activities designed to challenge our student's minds and assist them in becoming well rounded men and women.

Some of our important topics require student attendance and participation. These include but aren't limited to: STI prevention, Substance Abuse Awareness, Time Management, Study Skills, Campus Safety and Security.

Identification Cards

All students are issued an identification card upon registration at Tuskegee University.

Students must carry their identification card with them at all times and present the card to university officials upon request.

A fee of $30.00 is charged for replacement identification cards.
