Home of the New Tuskegee Airmen!!!

Welcome to the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) program here at Tuskegee University. We, in the Department of Aerospace Studies, provide pre-commissioning education for qualified students who desire to serve as commissioned officers in the United States Air Force.

Detachment 015 has a legacy to uphold with extreme historical significance, the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen! Therefore, our cadets are held to the highest standards of excellence. Detachment 015 supports five-year degree technical programs and is open to individuals classified as second semester sophomores. Tuskegee University has many majors, technical and nontechnical, that our AFROTC program supports.

Cadet Life


Here at Detachment 015, cadets develop an unbreakable bond while being trained to become commissioned officers in the United States Air Force.  Many cadets embark on a journey of self-discovery when enrolling into our AFROTC program. Get ready to discover capabilities and skills you never ever knew existed! Leadership Laboratory

Leadership Laboratory (LLAB) is mandatory for all cadets. It harmonizes with the other Aerospace Studies classes and gives cadets advanced leadership experience. LLAB provides cadets the opportunity to apply leadership and management principles learned throughout the AFROTC course.

Physical Training

Our physical trainng sessions are just as fun as they are challenging. From our fun and motivating jodies to our competitions throughout the cadet ranks, you're guaranteed to stay fit while enjoying yourself. Our physical training sessions are energetic and physically motivating.
