Dr Marcia Rossi

She received her Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology with an emphasis on learning and behavior analysis from Auburn University. Dr. Rossi conducts research in the area of learning and cognition, with an emphasis on training issues. She has published works in the psychology of teaching and advising, in areas of human factors as it relates to training, and in behavior analysis. She has collaborated with faculty in Aerospace Science Engineering on research projects relating to human factors in flight training and visualization training and has been a principal investigator or co-investigator on numerous funded research projects, receiving funding by the Army Research Institute, NASA, the Air Force Research Laboratory, and the Department of Education, Office of Special Education. She serves as Chair of the University's Intellectual Property Committee, and as Recording Secretary to the Council of Department Heads. She is also Co-Chair of the Rights Protection Committee of The Learning Tree, in Tallassee, AL. Dr. Rossi was responsible for the 1992 installation of the Tuskegee University Chapter of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology, and continues to serve as the advisor for the chapter. Dr. Rossi is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, the Association for Psychological Science, the Association for Behavior Analysis, and the Society for the Teaching of Psychology.

Teaching: Introductory Psychology, Theories of Learning, Applied Behavior Analysis, Human Factors Psychology, Social Psychology, History of Psychology, Experimental Psychology.

Research Interests: Human factors issues related to flight training, terrain visualization training, teaching of psychology, and applications of behavior analysis to non-traditional areas.
