Distinguished pastor, president of national Baptist organization to speak at All University Worship

TUSKEGEE, Ala. (November 12, 2009) – Dr. T. DeWitt Smith, president of the Progressive National Baptist Convention Inc., will be the guest speaker for All University Worship in the Tuskegee University Chapel on Sunday, Nov. 22, at 9:30 am.

Smith was elected and installed as the 18th president of the PNBC in August 2006. He has preached and lectured extensively across the nation and internationally, and is an inductee in the Martin Luther King Jr. Morehouse College Board of Distinguished Preachers. Most recently, he was honored with the God’s Trombone Award for dedicated service by the Rainbow/Push Coalition. This event is co-sponsored by the University Chapel and the Tuskegee University National Center for Bioethics in Research and Health Care.

The public is welcome to attend.
