| To Colleagues, friends, and family:
I was appointed dean for Graduate Studies and Research (GSR) July 2013: http://www.tuskegee.edu/Articles/fermin_appointed_
Much effort will be dedicated to enhancing GSR (www.tuskegee.edu/gsr) operations, by applying experiences and skills gained over 30 years in academia. As GSR Dean I pledge to assist bright students who, like myself, may be first in their families to graduate from college and continue on to attend graduate school.
Thus, I ask colleagues, friends, and family to please assist me in any way possible with leads, resources, contributions, or investments (that should be designated for GSR use only) and I promise to facilitate training bright students of low income and meritorious records. The world needs more Tuskegee’s change-agents. Tuskegee University, founded and maintained through struggle, contributes greatly to national and global human needs.
I am committed to enhancing TU graduate education, and upon retirement from academia to leave a flourishing graduate enterprise for enhancing the superb work began by Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver. No investment is too small, and no idea too wild to suggest for assisting me in reaching this noble goal.
