Criteria for general scholarships vary, and may include, but is not limited to
state of residence
or high school attended
Eligible students are normally considered for all general scholarships assuming they meet the criteria. Unless otherwise noted, recipients for general scholarships are selected by a scholarship committee selected to administer general scholarships.
Incoming Freshman – Accepted for admission and a minimum 3.0 high school GPA
Priority consideration given to incoming freshman who meet the criteria and have an unpaid balance due on their fees. Students will not be entitled to a refund if Tuskegee University funds are a part of the refund.
Current Students – Minimum 3.0 cumulative, unadjusted GPA
Priority given to current students who have attained a minimum 3.5 cumulative, unadjusted Tuskegee University GPA at the conclusion of fall semester and demonstrate financial need. Students must also have an unpaid balance due on their fees and not entitled to a refund which would include Tuskegee University funds.
Requirements for need-based Scholarships
To receive consideration for need-based scholarships, students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available on-line beginning January 1st.
Students must have an unmet need based upon the EFC contained in their FAFSA. Minimum cumulative GPA is 2.50 based upon a 4.0 system.
