Aaron Robinson chosen as employee of the month for September 2013
Robinson of Campus Technology has been selected as Tuskegee University’s staff
senate’s employee of the month for September, 2013. Robinson was chosen based
on his continued commitment to excellence in customer service and received a
certificate, $25 gift card and a free TU parking decal for a year.
Aaron received five nominations from both students and staff members.
“He[Robinson] has been an outstanding employee at Tuskegee
University, always going the extra mile to make sure that every student and employee
old and new to the campus is taken care of, especially when it is a
technological issue and more. He is an awesome boss who motivates his
student workers to excel in school as well as on the job. He is like a father
to most taking the time to teach and show us how to take care of our business
as responsible adults as we are students growing and learning the ways of
the world.” Said Whitney Duncan
Aaron Robinson, who has been with the university for 37 years, manages the IT
Customer Service Help desk. The help desk receives all IT related
calls and questions from students, faculty, staff and parents. The desk
logs all calls into a database called Spiceworks and assigns call tickets to
technical support specialists, support network specialists, application service
specialists, and blackboard specialist. The help desk also tracks
and monitors the status of logged calls in Spiceworks.
