Joyner, Baltimore announced as commencement and baccalaureate speakers



TUSKEGEE, Ala. (April 15, 2011) — Tuskegee University has announced speakers for its commencement activities scheduled for May 8 on campus.


On Saturday, May 7, Dr. Carroll A. Baltimore Sr. will deliver the keynote address at the university baccalaureate service in the Daniel “Chappie” James Center. Baltimore is the 19th president of the Progressive National Baptist Convention Inc. 


Tuskegee alumnus radio show host, and philanthropist Tom Joyner will deliver the address at the commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 8 in the James Center. Joyner is host of the syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show and founder of the Tom Joyner Foundation that benefits Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
