Spring 2014 HungerU Tour visits Tuskegee University in effort to fight world hunger


TUSKEGEE, Ala. (February 28, 2014) – On March 3-4, Tuskegee University will receive a visit from the interactive mobile HungerU exhibit in an effort to encourage students to help fight world hunger. The exhibit will take place on the University Avenue between the Kellogg Conference Center and Margaret Murray Washington Hall from 9:00am to 5:00pm on both days.

HungerU is an initiative of Farmers Feeding the World and the Farm Journal Foundation. The focus of the exhibit will be surrounded around world hunger and finding a solution to the problem. HungerU strives to teach students about global hunger while encouraging them to take on the challenge of providing their communities with safe, affordable, and nutritious food. 

The HungerU Tour is sponsored by the Tuskegee University Chapter of Gamma Sigma Delta. An honor society dedicated to recognizing academic achievements and/or accomplishments for those who have excelled as students, faculty members, alumni, or industry and university supporters.
