Jordan Kurtz is a Sophomore student at Tuskegee University. She expects to receive a B.S. degree in Political Science in May 2018. She has had undergraduate research experience in plea bargaining in the Criminal Justice System, African American generational evolution, and minority voters and their political views.
She has had internship experience with the East Pinson Valley Recreation Center, the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, and the Barganier Law Group, all in Birmingham, Alabama. She is the recipient of various merit scholarships including the Tuskegee University Merit Scholarship, the Community Foundation Scholarship, the Birmingham Area Tuskegee Alumni Scholarship, the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society Scholarship, the Tuskegee University Eminent Scholar Scholarship and the Alpha Kappa Mu Honor Society Scholarship.
Jordan is a member of the President's Men & Women Leadership Program, the Honors Program, the Food Service Committee, and is President of the Debate Club. Her community involvement includes the Tuskegee University All University Festival, the George Washington Carver Elementary School Book Fair, the Tuskegee Healthy Life Marathon and Tuskegee University Cafeteria Clean Up.
