Golden Tiger Health Check

by GuideSafe

Today we are launching the GuideSafe™ exposure notification application.  The Guide Safe application is a platform that promotes testing and self-reporting to assist with making informed decisions to help stop the spread of COVID-19. The platform has three tools to help mitigate the risk of exposure and spread of COVID-19:

Golden Tiger Health Check.  Guide Safe™ Healthcheck is a nationwide COVID-19 assessment tool that allows users to report COVID-19 related symptoms and exposure which has been branded by the university as the Golden Tiger Health Check. The Golden Tiger Health Check consists of a set of questions that assess symptoms and exposure to COVID-19. Students, faculty and staff must be free of all symptoms potentially related to COVID-19 to return to campus each day. As you evaluate your symptoms, only report new symptoms that are not related to existing health conditions (i.e. seasonal allergies) or recent activity (i.e. soreness, difficulty breathing, etc.). An initial set up survey is performed the first time you access Golden Tiger Health Check. After that, you are required to complete the Golden Tiger Health Check daily. You can even set up reminders though the Golden Tiger Health Check tool. However, if you ever develop new symptoms – don’t wait for a reminder – report them immediately. You can access the Golden Tiger Health Check through the password protected system on a phone, tablet, or computer by going to https://healthcheck.staysafetogether.org/113

Through the GuideSafe™ Golden Tiger Health Check, you report whether or not you have had symptoms or exposure to anyone who has recently tested positive for COVID-19. If you do report symptoms or exposure, this information will be shared with Student or Human Resources. Based on your response, the Guide Safe™ Golden Tiger Health Check will assign you one of three categories: Least Risk, May be at Risk, or Greater Risk - each with its own instructions on how to proceed to campus or work. Regardless of how you answer, a secure compliance report will be sent to Student Health or Human Resources.

You may begin using Golden Tiger Health Check now. As you return to campus or work, you are required to update your symptoms, exposure history, and testing history through Golden Tiger Health Check on a daily basis.

Exposure Notification Application.  Users of GuideSafe™ Exposure Notification can anonymously share a positive COVID-19 test result —and be anonymously notified of potential previous close contact with someone who later reports a positive COVID-19 test result—without sharing anyone’s identity. The app protects your privacy while giving you the power to protect the health of yourself, your family, and your community.  This application is administered through the Alabama Department of Public Health. The university will not have access to data collected through this application. Exposure data does not leave your device unless you decide to share a positive test result through

GuideSafe™.  Anonymous codes shared between bluetooth connections are deleted after 14 days. If you delete the Application, all anonymous codes are deleted as well. By using this application you will be notified if someone you have been in close proximity to (within 6 feet for at least 15 minutes) is later diagnosed with COVID-19, and reports through the application.  All individuals remain anonymous! This application will integrate with the Golden Tiger Health Check when you select Tuskegee University so that you do not have to enter the symptom data in two places.

Students and employees can Download the GuideSafe™️ Exposure Notification App from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Event Passport

Event Passport is used to facilitate access to meetings, events, or facilities having ten or more people. Event attendees will complete Healthcheck, a COVID-19 assessment tool. Event passport is issued based on a proprietary risk algorithm. Each user is assigned a unique passport number indicating their status for the upcoming event. Event Passport can also be used to ensure compliance with reporting requirements by denying facility, meeting or event access to individuals who have not completed the required assessment. At the completion of the Golden Tiger Health Check each day you will be provided a link to access your event passport which is good for 24 hours.
