Position: Assistant Professor                           Department: School of Education-Elementary and Secondary

Status:   Full Time; Exempt                  (Tenure Track)

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

  • Teach elementary pedagogy and content courses
  • Teach program and departmental courses, including seminars and orientation
  • Serve as Coordinator of Field Based Experiences to include the placement of supervision of student interns and pre-clinical students
  • Conduct research and scholarly pursuits within the department
  • Perform service activities to include advisement and committee assignments
  • Participate in structured real-world experiences in P-12 school setting(s)
  • Attend regular departmental and School meetings
  • Serve on Committees
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Doctorate in Elementary Education 
  • Successful teaching experience at the P-12 level and teaching experience within a multicultural environment.
