In keeping with the President’s commitment to Tuskegee University Becoming “One Tuskegee”, the ideal Assistant Professor of Political Science will possess the willingness to use their expertise in transforming Tuskegee into a leading 21st century living and learning environment.

The Department of History and Political Science seeks a tenure track Assistant Professor in Political Science to begin August 1, 2022. Candidates with the demonstrable ability to teach America Government and Politics and African-American Politics courses are especially encouraged to apply. Ability to offer courses in Comparative Politics and International Relations and interest in co­advising students in the Political Science honors program as well as the Pre-Law program is desired.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include teaching four classes (12 hours) per semester
  • Engaging in scholarly research
  • Serving on committees
  • Advising students
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the department chair

 Applicants should be new or recent PhD graduates by August 1, 2022.
