HOW TO POST A JOB  – STAFF POSITIONS

  • Complete a SPRF (Staff/Faculty Personnel Requisition Form)
  • Create the Staff Position Announcement
  • *Send a copy of the position announcement to S. Brown(sbrown@mytu.tuskegee.edu) for posting purposes (Word Format)*
  • Attach the SPRF and Position Announcement forms and begin the signature approval process:
    • Supervisor/Dean/Dept. Head
    • General Officer
    • Grants Manager
    • Budget
    • CFO
    • Provost (Incl. Faculty w/Staff Appts.)
    • Human Resources
    • President(Obtained by HR only)
  • The position will be posted after all signatures have been received by all departments to HR within 2-3 business days
  • All positions are posted for a minimum of (7) seven days

HOW TO HIRE - STAFF POSITIONS

  • After (7) seven calendar days from the post date, departments can request (completed) submitted applications via email employment@mytu.tuskegee.edu and/or phone (ext. 8480).
  • Application packets are forwarded to include HR Referral Form and OHR approved Interview Questions.
  • All interviews are conducted within the specific departments by the Dept. Head/Supervisor.
  • After interviews are complete, department creates Hiring Approval Packet to include:
    • PAF (Personnel Action Form)
    • HR Referral Form
    • Interview Questions & Answers for all candidates interviewed
    • Selected candidates’ application materials.
  • The Hiring Approval Packet will begin the signature approval process.
    • Supervisor/Dean/Dept. Head
    • General Officer
    • Grants Manager
    • Provost (Faculty w/Staff Appts.)
    • Budget
    • CFO
    • Human Resources
    • President(Obtained by HR only)
  • Conditional Offer of Employment is made once it is received by HR (After final approval from Office of the President). Pre-employment background screening will be conducted.
  • New Hire Orientation is schedule

  • NOTE: FACULTY PACKETS MUST INCLUDE AN EXECUTED FACULTY CONTRACT WITH SPECIFIC SALARY OFFER. Employee will sign contract at Orientation.

  • A copy of all pertinent documents will be provided to the Office of the Provost (Christine Bradshaw), to include:
    • PAF
    • Notice of Appointment
    • Application Materials
