Position: Associate Director of Sponsored Programs              Department: Research and Graduate Studies

Status: Full-Time

Special Qualifications

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Director of the Office of Sponsored Programs in the Pre-Award services including establishing operating procedures for the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP).
  • Assist the Director in Training staff of the OSP in the use of federal systems such as FASTLANE and Grant.Gov. 
  • Assist the Director in Keeping abreast of current and proposed federal and state regulations as the affect management of grants.
  • Assist the Director in conducting training sessions for faculty, staff and administrators
  • Assist the Director in Rendering technical assistance and guidance to faculty in the preparation and submission of proposals to funding agencies.
  • Assist the Director in Reviewing funding applications to ensure accuracy, adherence to agency requirements and compliance with submission requirements
  • Assist the Director in monitoring technical reporting requirements as indicated by sponsoring organizations

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in business, computer Science, mathematics or any other related field
  • 5-10 years of experience, preferably in a research environment
  • Administrative experience in higher education environment
  • Knowledge of government funding agency regulations and compliance issues

Salary
Commensurate with education, training and experience

Additional Position Information:

  • This position require weekend and after work hours’ job responsibilities.
  • This position require you to travel.
