Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
Tuskegee University has an opening for a Health Aide to join our Student Health Team as we endeavor to provide health and wellness services to students, faculty and staff impacted by COVID-19. The incumbent will be responsible for working in partnership with Student Health Services, the Kellogg Hotel Operations Team, ADA Coordinator and Facilities & Construction in managing student isolation/quarantine and placement in the Kellogg Isolation Center.  In addition, you will assist with meals and managing student personal and medical needs.   You will assist the Student Health Center staff with all other duties and tasks as needed and directed. To excel in this role you should have an interest in health care and the ability to work with limited supervision keeping the patient's needs as your top priority:

  • Manage placement of students in Kellogg Isolation Center.
  • Coordinate meals and other medical services.
  • Maintain phone and visual contact to assist with managing patient condition.
  • Perform basic health care services for patients including checking vital signs or administering prescription medication.
  • Work with the Director and Student Health Services staff to coordinate appointments with physicians.
  • Coordinate with Student Affairs & Residence Life & Housing to sanitize student residence hall and apm1ments.
  • Coordinate with the Kellogg Hotel Operations staff to manage the departure of students, sanitizing and preparation of rooms.
  • Attend weekly CARES Team Meetings.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and provide references.
  • High School diploma
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to work from 10:00 am-6:00pm on weekdays and weekends.

Salary
Commensurate with education, training and experience
