The Graduate Council

The Tuskegee University Graduate Council, appointed by the President of the University, is the governing body responsible for formulating general policies and procedures concerning graduate education. The Dean of Graduate School is advised by an eight-member Graduate Council. This council, which functions as the governance unit with responsibility for educational policies at the graduate level, is composed of the Dean of Graduate School as Chairperson, six faculty members, one representing each college and the School of Nursing and Allied Health (to be appointed by Deans), a representative of the Biosafety Committee and two elected graduate students. The graduate council, with input from the graduate faculty, suggests policy changes for implementation to the Provost for approval.
