Tuskegee, Ala. (March 24, 2016) – The Tuskegee University Board of Trustees unanimously approved the university’s strategic plan during its recent annual spring meeting on March 19, 2016.
Culminating a year-long institutional process led by President Brian Johnson and a 36-member Master Steering Strategic Planning Committee, the approval sets forth the institution’s trajectory from 2015-2020, along with its five strategic priorities, strategies and anticipated outcomes. The plan, which went through several revisions, was informed through input from numerous constituencies, such as trustees, local community members and the Tuskegee University community of students, faculty and staff.
“I am very pleased the Board of Trustees has unanimously approved the Strategic Plan that will chart the course for the institution over the next five years,” Johnson said. “I look forward to working in concert with the entire Tuskegee University community and external supporters in not only reaching our anticipated outcomes, but surpassing them.”
