The Office of Admissions at Tuskegee University plans to welcome prospective and admitted students and their families to the spring Open House on Saturday, March 25.
During the event, attendees can expect to join the Tuskegee Experience as prospective students meet with academic deans, department heads, and student group leaders while receiving pertinent information on admissions, scholarships, and financial aid.
“Students will hear firsthand from our esteemed university leadership, learn more about our stellar academic programs and student support services, and engage with the current student body,” said Dr. Courtney Griffin, Director of Admissions and Recruitment. “Opening our doors for a closer look permits families to see what the Tuskegee Experience is all about for themselves.”
Prospective students will spend the day previewing academic programs, speaking directly with faculty members, walking the campus on a guided tour, and discussing financial and academic advising. The day will conclude with a “Finalize Your Acceptance,” inviting students to commit to Tuskegee University.
“This is the first year we will allow students to finalize their acceptance on the spot and complete their housing application,” said Dr. Griffin. “We want students to leave Tuskegee better equipped and prepared to join the Tiger’s Den in August.”
The event will also allow parents and guardians to connect with university administration and learn about Tuskegee’s Parent Support option.
“Parents are just as important to us as our students – as we are partners in providing this educational space for the continued development of their child’s head, heart, and hands,” said Dr. Griffin. “Parents will receive information about counseling, tutoring, campus safety, payment options, and important dates.”
