The Tracking Foundation has presented a $3.6 million gift to Tuskegee University for the Stephen A. Feinberg Scholarship Program. Gregory S. Nixon, a Tuskegee University alumnus and trustee, facilitated the gift.
This is the third gift in three years from Stephen Feinberg’s giving arm, the Tracking Foundation facilitated by Trustee Nixon. The gift is designated exclusively for scholarships to students in financial need that meet the criteria. This gift brings their total contribution from the Tracker Foundation to $10.6 million.
“The Tracking Foundation’s ongoing partnership provides our students with critical resources for their continued education,” said Tuskegee President Dr. Charlotte P. Morris. “Their support shows they recognize the importance of the investment in our students and our academic offerings. The value here will have a long-term impact on our students and their families as it provides a bridge for economic empowerment in ways that our students would otherwise be excluded. We are ever grateful.”
Trustee Nixon said it gives him great pride to be able to help facilitate this kind of support to his alma mater. “Creating opportunities to ensure our students are able to complete their education is an essential part of developing them and building leaders,” he said. “The grants from the Tracking Foundation support the university's most important and valuable asset– its students.”
