Tuskegee University President Charlotte P. Morris, who has served as interim president three times before being named the university’s ninth president, will retire next spring. The university’s Board of Trustees has hired a firm to conduct the search for the university’s 10th president with particular interest in including feedback from alumni and friends. University Trustee Jonathan Porter ‘95, senior vice president for customer operations for Alabama Power, a subsidiary of Southern Company, will chair the presidential search advisory committee. The 15-member committee will include Trustees, faculty, staff, students, and alumni who will engage the broader Tuskegee community and provide a recommendation to the full Board.
