Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine (TUCVM) announces SERP 2017. Interested participants should be undergraduate students in their senior year, graduate students interested in applying to veterinary medicine in the next application cycle or applicants recommended by the TUCVM admissions committee. The cost is $750 (excluding room and board).

The purpose of the SERP is to prepare underrepresented minority students to successfully complete a veterinary medical curriculum. The program will focus on four key areas: critical thinking, analysis and application of clinical information, and learning strategies.

• Anatomy of the Cell and Histology

• Gross Anatomy • Veterinary Physiology

• Reactions in Physiological Chemistry

• Necropsy

• Veterinary Microbiology

• Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)

• Reactions Pathology of the Cell

• Veterinary Parasitology

• Clinical Pathology

• Anatomic Pathology

• DNA in Veterinary Medicine

• Veterinary Ophthalmology

• Presentation of small and large animal cases

• Research & Veterinary Medicine

• Effective communication, practical metacognitive learning styles, note taking and test taking strategies.
