We visit local contracted animal shelters where we provide the following services:
* Vaccinate as requested
* Review all animals’ health
* Diagnose to determine what can be treated (on-site) at the shelter and what needs to be brought into the Small Animal Hospital for diagnosis and treatment.
We bring into the clinic whatever animals need to be neutered or spayed. The surgery is done by senior students (under faculty supervision) and returned to the shelter the next morning. Carcasses of deceased animals are brought into School of Veterinary Medicine Pathology Department for necropsy. Heads of these carcasses are used for dental lab specimens.
