The Tuskegee University’s Robert R. Taylor School of Architecture and Construction Science (TSACS)’s Preview Architecture and Construction at Tuskegee (PACT) Program seeks to provide prospective students a glimpse into the professional side of architecture and construction management while also exposing them to the educational, time management, and social aspects of college life. PACT combines integrated design, construction science, project management, team building, and self-brand marketing into a six-week service learning project that addresses a specific need of the University and/or community. This aligns with the Tuskegee University mission to “Learn to do by doing.” For some, the love and education of architecture began with Legos, photographs, art, and playing in the sandboxes on the playground. The PACT program incorporates a student’s love and passion for the design and construction profession.
There's no better place than Tuskegee University-rich with tradition, history, and culture to facilitate the learning and curiosity of a young person’s mind.
True to the Tuskegee University mission, the PACT program is committed to enhancing the learning of its students by upholding the design build tradition wherein students are actively engaged in an environment in which they built the surrounding structures on campus alongside its founding Father Booker T. Washington and its Vice President and Architect Robert R. Taylor.
