“The Tuskegee University Chapel belongs to all of us,” said Dr. Cecil A. Duffie, Dean of the Chapel. “So, we are being intentional with a new series of worship opportunities that welcome people to claim their space here, unite in their particular connection to Mother Tuskegee, and worship together.”
At 9:30 on Sunday, Nov. 16, in partnership with the Faculty Senate, and Staff Senate, the Chapel will host Faculty and Staff Appreciation Sunday to celebrate the contributions of the world-class faculty and dedicated staff members of Tuskegee University.
This Sunday’s service will feature Rev. Dr. Willie Dwayne Francios, of Summit, New Jersey, a highly regarded preacher and scholar. Faculty and staff leaders including the Faculty Senate Chair, Dr. Bill Ndi, and the Staff Senate Chair, Nikasha Jones will participate in the program.
All members of the community (students, faculty and staff) and their families are welcome to attend. Faculty and Staff members are encouraged to register here:

A similar program, honoring Tuskegee students, was held on Oct. 19, where student leaders were recognized for their service and commitment. Rev. Barbara Lavarin, of Durham, North Carolina, encouraged the congregation with a message entitled “Young, Gifted, and Black”, centered around resilience and faith. More than 150 students attended.
