Like the Roman warriors who once met in Greece and fought honorably in the Parthian, our student‑athletes competed with respect, excellence, and resolve. We leave without the trophy, but with our heads held high, having fought the good fight.

I salute President David A. Thomas Bowman—newly invested and already demonstrating exceptional leadership. The future of Morehouse is in capable hands.

I am immensely proud of our Golden Tigers. Best overall record in the SIAC this season. Kevin Draper, SIAC Player of the Year. Coach Benjy Taylor, SIAC Coach of the Year. Achievements that speak volumes about the character and commitment of this program.

The biggest winners were the fans. Our sixth man on the court—Golden Tiger alumni, parents, students, and friends—showed up in record numbers and cheered until the final buzzer. That is HBCU pride at its finest.

Benjamin Mays and Booker T. Washington reminded us that excellence is never accidental. Like the Greeks of old, we now return to the cathedral—wiser, stronger, and ready to fight again.
