ESPN’s First Take featuring Stephen A. Smith will broadcast live from Chappie James Arena
When Tuskegee University alumni and friends return to Mother Tuskegee in November, they will find a campus prepared to welcome them and celebrate with the theme Homecoming 102: A Renaissance Family Affair.
Rapper and actor T.I., who featured the Marching Crimson Pipers in one of his videos earlier this year, will return to campus as Grand Marshal of the Homecoming Parade and perform with the band during the half-time show. His youngest daughter, Heiress Harris, will perform the National Anthem. Hip Hop duo the Ying Yang twins will join Doug E. Fresh for a high energy day party on Friday for all to enjoy.
“Everything we do this year for Homecoming will honor the legacy families and all who call Mother Tuskegee home,” said Dr. Mark A. Brown, President and CEO. “We look forward to all of the Homecoming festivities that make this special and embracing the friends and Tuskegee family we haven’t seen in a while.”
Tuskegee will play Miles College at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 in Cleve Abbott Memorial Stadium. Tickets are still available

here. Visitors will be shuttled from the Booker T. Washington High School and the Tuskegee Institute Middle School lot.
The week of activities begins on Sunday with a Gospel Explosion. The annual Step Show will be held on Tuesday. The student concert will be on Wednesday. On Thursday, the 2026 Miss Tuskegee and Mister Tuskegee will be crowned in Logan Hall.
On Friday, the Homecoming energy will grow as Vendor Village pops up on the Logan Hall lawn and a day party gets underway featuring a return visit by Doug E. Fresh and the Ying Yang Twins make their first appearance to campus to delight alumni and students.
A special feature this year is the live broadcast of ESPN’s First Take featuring Stephen A. Smith in Daniel “Chappie” James Arena.
“Tuskegee University is proud to host ESPN and share this platform with our alumni and friends,” said Reginald Ruffin, Vice President of Athletics and Athletic Director. “First Take broadcasting from our campus introduces a new audience to the talent we develop here. It also confirms for others what Tuskegee has a place for student-athletes of every sport from around the country. We set the standard to educate and then graduate.”
