Lincoln Gates at the front entrance to campusTuskegee University leaders are monitoring the National Weather Service reports for the impact of Hurricane Isaias in the Macon County area. Because the safety of the campus community is always the first priority, the campus will be closed on Friday, Oct. 9.

Classes will be canceled and only essential employees should report to work. Essential employees include police, cafeteria and Facilities employees.

Students will be able to access the cafeteria in Tompkins Hall for the regular schedule on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They are asked to limit their activity on campus as heavy winds and rain are expected.

The university will continue to monitor weather reports and will provide updates as necessary. In the event of an emergency, students should call TU Police Department at 334-724-4911. For a non-emergency, please call TUPD at 334-727-8757. The campus is also encouraged to use the RAVE app from your phone to contact TUPD. It will give officers your GPS location.
