Tuskegee University Golden Tigers Sept. 27: Know Before You Go

Tuskegee University is hosting Fort Valley State University at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27 and there are a few things that everyone should know in advance.

Tickets

All tickets are prepaid through our vendor Hometown. You can buy them here. There will be no game-day tickets sold on campus. Please download or print your tickets before arriving in Tuskegee.

Parking/Shuttles

All parking is prepaid. These are non-cash lots. All parking is $30 and available here. Parking is available at Tuskegee Institute Middle School (TIMS), 1809 Franklin Rd. All visitors will be shuttled to the Cleve Abbott Stadium and dropped off at the tennis courts. Shuttles will begin running at 11:45 a.m. The stadium opens at noon. The shuttle buses will run until 6:30 p.m.

ADA Needs

There is ADA parking at the TIMS lot and buses with wheelchair lifts are available. Upon stadium arrival and after ticketing, those with ADA needs will be driven by golf cart to stadium seating.

Campus Activities

The campus is hosting a number of activities this weekend please refer to the specific communications from your host for Saturday morning logistics.

Clear Bags

The university has a clear bag policy. No purses or backpacks will be allowed. All clear bags are subject to search. Due to the clear bag policy no coolers will be allowed.

Security

No weapons are permitted on the campus.  All visitors are subject to metal detection devices. No coolers will be allowed on the buses or in the stadium.

Directions

Directions are offered to avoid GPS delays.

            Tuskegee Institute Middle School

  • From Montgomery, take Exit 32 and take a right, go down to Frankin Road, then take a left and follow the signs to TIMS, which will be on the right.
  • From Atlanta, take Exit 32, take a left on Pleasant Springs Dr. down to Franklin Road and take a left, follow the signs to TIMS, which will be on the right.
  • The alternate from Atlanta, will be to take Exit 38, make a left off the exit and across from Moton Field is Highway 199. Make a right and go three miles to Macon County Highway 65. Make a left and take it four miles to Franklin Road, then make a left and TIMs will be 200 yards on your right.

The Tuskegee University School of Nursing and Allied Health professionals and students will be available to help with blood pressure monitoring and to support other health emergencies.
