Introduction

Contact Us

Welcome to our state-of-the-art Histopathology Diagnostic Laboratory, where precision meets reliability in the microscopic examination of tissues. Our lab is equipped with advanced automation technology to expedite the processing and staining of micro slides, ensuring rapid turnaround times without sacrificing quality. We are committed to providing detailed and accurate histopathological evaluations to aid in diagnosing and researching veterinary diseases.

Histology Lab

The Histopathology Laboratory specializes in routine and advanced staining techniques for detailed characterization of cell types and identification of tissue components. Available methods include:
  • PAS (Periodic Acid-Schiff reagent): Detection of glycogen and mucins, with and without diastase.
  • Mucicarmine: Highlighting epithelial mucins.
  • Trichrome (Masson’s method): Differentiation of connective tissues.
  • Tissue Gram Stain (Modified Brown and Brenn): Bacterial identification.
  • Acid-Fast (Ziehl-Neelsen): Detection of Mycobacterium.
  • Warthin-Starry: Identification of spirochetes.
  • Giemsa: Identification of mast cells.
  • Gomori’s Methenamine Silver (GMS): Detection of fungi.
  • Microincineration: Demonstration of calcium oxalate in tissue.
Veterinary pathologists, trained in diagnostic pathology, utilize the NanoZoomer S210 scanner to deliver high-quality evaluations and develop necropsy and histopathology protocols for experimental studies. The laboratory also collaborates as a co-investigator in interdisciplinary research. Necropsy and biopsy specimens are accepted for evaluation, with services designed to provide timely, accurate insights that advance diagnostic investigations, research, and animal health outcomes.
